In a various and pluralistic space, national media is, in fact, competing with other available ones each of which tries to enhance its standing using different ways. This study focuses on identifying the State national media as true Iran ‘s TV network and tries to find different ways to higher it’s standing in comparison with other Persian- language TV networks emphasizing the Persian language.
This study is a qualitative one using qualitative content analysis to respond the mentioned query. In-depth interviews have been carried out with 13 experts the resulting data of which have been gathered, encoded and categorized. Later on, they were grouped into four categories in terms of their media features as following:
- The role of national media in media sphere.
- The main competitors of national media.
- National media standing against competitors in media sphere.
- Ways to enhance the national media standing in media sphere according to the recommended fourteen ways.
