Abstract
With regard to the importance of “ Freedom and Authority “ which is one of the most important issues of children’s literature philosophy, the present paper attempts to analyze the manifestations of freedom and authority from the perspective of explaining the narrative process in children’s theatrical discourse of Kolah ghermezi series , an Iranian puppet show. Using analytical method, the findings indicate that the series playwrights have successfully provided the children with suitable freedom of action and expression through creating exquisite contrasts among the perpetrators of power. Therefore, they could provide the children and adolescents with suitable platform to breathe and act freely which was different from soulless world of the adults. Among these are 1- the action type of verbal factors, 2- the power value of effective actions, 3- The waiting position in discourse with regard to the degree of its dependence or independence on verbal factors on each other, 4- Manifestation of cognitive constructions in narration like metaphors and conceptual integration networks ,5- The degree of adherence of verbal factors to self- regulatory skills which facilitates the semantic explanation of manifestation of freedom and authority in speech.
