چکیده

در حالی که سازمان‌های پخش‌گسترده[1] در حال گذار از آنالوگ به دیجیتال مجبور به صرف هزینه‌های گزافی هستند، سرویس‌دهنده‌های جدید با استفاده از زیرساخت‌های جدیدی چون مخابرات سیار، مدم‌های DSL، فیبر نوری و شبکه‌های کابلی با ارائة محیط‌های جدید، مخاطبین را به‌سوی خود جلب کرده و دنیای مربوط به خود را هر روز بیشتر از دیروز تحدید می‌کنند.
مخاطبینی که تا دیروز سرویس‌های محدودی آنان را راضی می‌کرد، امروز سرویس‌های متنوعی را درخواست می‌کنند و راضی نگاه داشتن آنان مشکل‌تر از گذشته می‌باشد. رقابت شدید میان بازیگران صحنه، هر روز مرزهای جدیدی را تعریف می‌کند و هشیاری و برنامه‌ریزی دقیق‌تری را طلب می‌کند.
در این بین آنان که پیش از یک تقاضا از سوی مخاطبین، برای پاسخ گویی به آن اندیشیده و فناوری لازم را به خدمت گرفته و پرسنل خود را آماده کرده‌اند قادر به ادامة حیات بوده و در صحنه باقی می‌مانند، و آنانی که بی‌توجه به روند تغییر در فناوری تنها امروز را می‌بینند در تنگنای چالش با تغییرات پرسرعت هر روز محدودتر از دیروز به حیات خود ادامه داده تا بالاخره در رقابت شدید میدان را به رقبا تسلیم خواهند نمود.
آن‌چه سازمان‌ها، شرکت‌ها و دولت‌ها به آن نیازمند هستند، داشتن یک مسیرنمای فناوری است. به‌طوری‌که قادر باشند قبل از وقوع یک تغییر و قبل از تأثیر ناشی از یکفناوری جدید، آمادگی لازم را ایجاد و قادر به مدیریت شرایط جدید باشند. با روش‌های مطرح مانند سناریو نویسی و آینده‌نگاری از مرز پیش‌بینی گذشته و خود نسبت به تعریف شرایط در هر مقطع پرداخته و به تعبیری آینده را خود بسازند

As broadcasters are constrained to spend exorbitant expenditures while crossing from analog to digital, new service providers are winning the audience and confining the world of broadcasters by presenting new environments through the application of modern infrastructures such as Mobile Telecommunications, DSL Modems, Optic Fibers, Cable Networks.
Theaudience, who was satisfied with the past limited services, now desires new services and keeping them satisfied today is much more difficult. Intense competition among the actors of this scene defines new borders everyday which requires very subtle cautiousness and planning.
Those who have devised in advance how to respond to the demands of the audience in this competition and have equipped themselves with the appropriate technology will survive and continue acting while the existence of those who pay attention to the process of technological change only as far as the present day is concerned will become more and more limited in the straitened circumstance of challenging the fast technological change until they finally will give up to the competitors.
What organizations, companies and governments require is a Technology Path Analysis. So that they are able to prepare and manage the new circumstances before a change occurs and a new technology impacts the current situation. They should apply the propounded methods such as Scenario-Writing and Future-Proofing to cross the borders of anticipation and define the features of the future or in other words create their own future.
