Puppet shows are considered a popular type of TV programs. From these shows, popular puppet characters have been created which have been stuck in the minds of the viewers and many audiences from kids to adults got interested in some of these puppets. From them, Kolah-Ghermezi and Jenab-Khan can be named. The present research has shaped around the question of the quality of creation of such popularity and the effective factors on it. The goal of this research is to analyze various factors leading to the popularity of TV puppets among people and the viewers and to explore the rate and priority of such factors in the eyes of the audience. The method for this research includes two stages. The first, studying the opinions of the audience about the reasons for the attractiveness of the puppets, and then semi-structured interview with experts in this area about the relevant reasons and motivations existing among people’s opinions. Therefore, in order to obtain the targeted goals, at first, two puppets of ‘Kolah-Ghermezi’ and ‘Jenab-Khan’ were selected as case studies of the research according to their production rate, broadcasting, and relationship with the audience. The resulted findings suggest that numerous factors influence the popularity of TV puppets; from technical and artistic features to the production team and broadcasting conditions, but it is interpreted as if most people have prioritized the content of the puppet show over the appearance of the puppet and it can also be said that what people hear has more special significance. As a result, the significant importance people give to the voice actor and the story related to the puppet character can be a road map for the producers of TV programs to succeed more in attracting the audience.
